Crown Casino, MelbourneThis project is now a Southbank landmark. Land Design Partnership formed part of the winning consortia for this major precinct development. The consultancy works included the landscape design and documentation for the soft landscape component of the precinct, including input into the designs for the riverside promenade, Queensbridge Square and Queensbridge, Whiteman and Spencer Streets.
The extensive roof garden that spans Kingsway also includes tennis courts and an enclosed swimming pool. The garden is successful despite shallow soil depths and strong winds. Patterning in the plant layout and selection provide a stimulating outlook for hotel guests.
