Residential Projects

Spring Lake Park and Serpentine, Caroline Springs
1997 - 2004

This is a significant residential development project located at Caroline Springs north west of Melbourne on the basalt plains. The project was initiated by Delfin in 1997. Land Design Partnership was initially involved with the team at Delfin in the design development and documentation of the Spring Lake Park. Spring Lake Park performs a pivotal identification role for the Caroline Springs development being located at the primary entrance on Western Highway. The park includes a large lake enframed by a mixed open woodland setting.

The Serpentine lake and wetland system continues north from Spring Lake toward Kororoit Creek. The Serpentine is an extensive linear parkland formed along wetlands and ponds. Boardwalks and a shared path system provide residents with a safe and stimulating environment for recreation and commuting. The wetlands also provide a critical water management function.
