Geelong Botanic Gardens, Eastern Beach GeelongLand Design Partnership developed landscape design concepts for the first stage of landscape works as a new entry to the existing Botanic Gardens. The works stemmed from early masterplan works for Eastern Park and the Botanic Gardens undertaken by the practice for the City of Greater Geelong.
The new entry works comprise treatments to define and highlight the landscape character of the Gardens. Pedestrian access to the gardens has been greatly improved. The design also improves vehicle circulation, parking opportunities and widened entry roads.
The changes give the Gardens the scale, visual exposure and contemporary landscape expression they had lacked but always deserved.
